Take your Child (ren) to Jesus

Matthew 19v13-15 NIRV

V13 some people brought little children to Jesus.
They wanted Him to place His hands on the children and pray for them. But the disciples told the people to stop.
V14 Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t keep them away. The kingdom of heaven belongs to people like them.
V 15 Jesus placed His hands on them. Then He went on from there.

Jesus wants us to bring our children to Him so that He can
bless them. So that He can lay His hands on them. The world is fighting for your children through various means. But you should make a decision that your children will be taken to Jesus. Daily hand them over to Jesus so that His hands can be placed on them.
Jesus tells us not to keep them away. It’s not only on Sundays during Sunday school or church. It should be done daily.

Mark 10v13-14 States the same incidence, however Mark tells us Jesus was upset that His disciples were hindering the children from coming to Him. No one (not even you) should hinder you from taking your children to the King of kings, the Lover of our soul.

Consciously take them to Him.

In the next chapter Matthew 20 we see Mrs. Zebedee the mother of James and John Zebedee take her children to the King. Probably she heard or saw what took place in chapter 19 and she thought why not my children? Though they are men but why not? why not take them to Jesus. Yes they follow him but I want a special request. I don’t want what they are doing here to last here but I want forever for my children.

What special request do you have for your children?

This shouldn't be done for babies or small children alone, older children who have become men and women or even fathers and mothers shouldn’t be left out.

In verse 20, we read that she got on her knees and worshiped Jesus. (NIRV and KJV)
She worshiped Jesus with her sons in tow. Jesus had to ask what she wanted and she asked that her children be made important in God’s kingdom.

V21 what do you want? Jesus asked. She said, “Promise me that one of my two sons may sit at your right hand in your kingdom. Promise that the other one may sit at your left hand

What we can learn from her?:

1)      She worshiped Jesus. We should worship Jesus. Sing of His praises, adore Him. Let Him be the Lord of our hearts. Let him reign supreme in us.
2)      She went with her sons. Though they were men she took them with her to Jesus. Take your children with you. Let them see you worship the King of kings on their behalf. Don’t go alone. Go with your children. If they can’t go with you physically let them know you are taking them to Jesus. Let them know you are praying for them.
3)      She made her request. Not a worldly request to give her children wealth but one of everlasting life. Though Jesus didn’t give her a yes because it’s not for him to decide he also didn’t tell her no.

Prayer :

Lord I thank you. I appreciate you. I thank you for making me a carrier of my children. Lord may your name be glorified forever.  May your everlasting Kingdom come and your will be done on earth. I love you Lord not only for the things you have done or for the things you would do but because when I didn’t deserve love or life you gave it to me. I am no body but you have given me the privileges I dare not dream of.I don’t have anyone in heaven or earth but you. Psalm 73v25. You are all I have Jesus.

Lord you said in Matthew 7v7 that I should ask and you would give me, that if I search and seek for you I will find you and if I knock you would open the door for me

Lord I bring my children to you (say their names) please let them be in your soon coming kingdom. Please keep them safe from the evil one so that they won’t lose their reward or miss their purpose. Let them reign with you. Don’t let them be partakers of hell. Let their lives mirror your life. Let them drink from your cup of suffering if that will take them to heaven. Even though I don’t want them to suffer but I would prefer that to eternal suffering in hell. In Jesus name I pray. (Amen)

If you have other prayer request for your children you can state them.

The grace of God be with us and help us in Jesus name.

Praying Without Ceasing

Good day,

I don’t want us to be weary when it comes to prayers. We have to continue to ask till we get what we want.

Don’t let us be tired of saying the same things to God over and over.

The Bible tells us in Luke 18v1-8 about the persistent widow who wanted the wicked judge to avenge her. She kept calling to him though he was unjust; he got tired of her constant disturbance and answered her. If the judge being wicked could grant her request how much more our loving Father who desires to love us and make sure we are okay?

In my Bible’s version (NLT)of this parable verse 7:

“Even he (the judge) rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to His chosen people who cry out to Him day and night? Will He keep putting them off?”

God always want us to keep asking, not because He delights in seeing us begging day and night but because He wants to know how important it is to us.

Sometimes our needs are beyond us just like that widow she couldn’t help herself, that problem was something she could not handle it wasn’t within what she could do. Some problems are not what we can handle. If it is to eat we can always buy food, if we need money we can always get someone to assist us. But when it comes to some funny and tough issues no body can help us.

That woman was resilient she went after who was able to help her, she went to the highest authority.

Let’s go to the King of all kings, the highest Priest who can open doors and no one will dare close it, who speaks and no one can argue, who opens doors and no one can shut them, who closes doors and no one dares open.  Let’s pursue our right in God. When we call, He will answer. God is working for our good. All we need on earth He doesn’t need them in heaven so why can’t He release them to us? The Bible tells us that He is not a poor or hungry God, the earth and the fullness is His, He is the creator of ALL things. He sits in heaven and makes the earth His footstool. He is simply too big, bigger than the biggest, richer than the richest, higher than the highest. He is God in Himself no one can compete with Him or compare himself with Him. He is too much, too awesome. He stands alone no one can beat him. That God is our Father, our Daddy. He has EVERYTHING. He will do ALL things, no thing is impossible for our God.

What will make God not to answer us?

-SIN. – The Bible says the Lord is not blind neither is He deaf, but our sins have separated us from Him. Let’s pray that God will forgive us of all our sins and wash us with the perfect blood of Jesus.

- Uncertainty- the Bible also says that we should not waver in our prayers that we should be sure our faith is in God alone.

We will keep praying and keep asking until we get our results in Jesus name. We should also put others we know that are going through challenges in our prayers so that we won’t be selfish in our asking.

God bless you.

THE DEVIL NEEDS YOUR CHILD

Hmmm.....what type of message is this? Why would the devil need my child?

Oh well the topic seems unheard of and almost sacrilegious. But its true! that blue eyed, innocent child can be a tool for the devil's kingdom.

But what we can do is to step in and STOP it. Oh I will pray and fast and declare and bind and loose. Yes! that's splendid. But above it all we must WORK. Put action to your faith. Remember that Faith without work is DEAD!

So what am I saying?

Did you know there was a king in the bible that was 8years old and another was 12 years old?

Lets examine the life of Josiah in 2Kings 22

Josiah was 8 years old! and from the Bible recorded in v2
He did what was pleasing in the Lord's sight and followed the example of his ancestors David. He did not turn away from doing what was right .

Reading further to chapter 23 he championed major reforms in Judah. He brought down all the pagan altars. He was bold and fearless.

In chapter 23v25 it was said that:

never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the Lord with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. and there has never been a king like him since.

My point here is that your child is not too young to serve the Lord. He or she is not too young to be born again!

Ha sis! he is just 4 o! how will i tell him? what will i say? will he understand?

Oh yes he will. and yes he can be born again. you need to pray for his salvation more than your prayers for him to have money in future or have  a "bright" future.

Then preach to him, teach him God's words more than the Cinderella or fairy tales or even barney!

Will he understand? maybe yes and maybe no. But you know what the Holy Spirit will teach him all things!

So its for you to sow the seed and let God increase it.

Remember Apollo watereth, Paul planted but the Lord gave increase.

The Lord will teach you the right thing to teach your children.

But if you don't! then of course trust that the devil will - gladly!

Have you seen young girls shaking their bum bums at parties and adults cheering them up? can you tell what they will be if they tow that line?

Have you seen or heard of children having sex? or being abused? if you don't  teach them about abuse claiming they are too young then the devil will help you.

Or your child can sing that worldly song (not minding the graphic details of what they want to do to a lady's body or how they want to shoot someone) from head to start and you are proud of him now. Can you see the line he will tow?

Or that film or even that cartoon! it makes the house quite...... think...... think...... what are you feeding your child with?

Have you taught that 5 year old about values? what of integrity?

Open the bible and see godly characters and show them their flaws and let them learn from it!

The Muslims teach their children how to read the Quran at an early age no wonder its a bit difficult to convert a Muslim. But Christians? we think they are too young. No they cant understand it and when they read one verse in memory verse we think we have arrived. NO way!

Thy word have i hid in my heart so i may not sin against you! if they cant read now, please read it to them. instead of bed time stores please use the bible. Get colourful bible stories. which you must read first because i have seen a very innocent colourful attractive looking bible story which was written wrongly and that's equal to heresies.
Jesus says clearly in this bible when his own disciples were trying to chase children from seeing him:   Matthew 19v13-15
"let the children alone, don't prevent them from coming to me. God's kingdom is made up of people like these" v 14 MSG

Do we ask our children what they were taught in school? yes we do and also we do home work together or get a lesson teacher.

But do we ask what they were taught in church? in Sunday school? do we look at their church notes (for those who can write)

Its time for us to take over the thoughts of our children. Pack it in with the word of God. Teach them about fasting, the beatitudes, the sermon on the mount, about the holy Spirit. how do i do this you ask?

Well I have only one answer ask the Holy Spirt of God to teach you. the bible says our children will taught of the Lord. What will work for A may not work for B even if they are from the same mother.

In conclusion: train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it

also pray that your fruit will abide.

I pray that our children shall be useful tools in the hand of the Lord.

They will not be a servant of the devil but they will serve the Lord at an early age and NEVER depart from it

Selah........
